תיאור

There's a strange gap at the heart of Diablo 4 Patch 3.1.1. Farming feels less punishing than it did during the first days of Season 14, and players with some D4 Gold can smooth out parts of their regular upgrade routine, but the Mythic chase still feels hard to steer. The patch fixed broken sources that stopped Lair Bosses and other activities from dropping Mythic versions correctly. That matters. Yet fixing a bad loot table isn't the same as giving players a believable path to the item their build actually needs.

The July 14 update adds more Pandemonium Fragments through the Corrupted Reaper and repeatable Glints of Hope rewards. It also drops the Horadric Cube upgrade cost from five fragments to four. You'll get more rolls from the same amount of farming, no question. Naturally dropped Mythics can become Iconic more often as well. The problem is that a bigger pile of rolls still lands in a huge pool. Getting a Mythic is one thing. Getting the right slot, useful affixes, and a version that beats your current Unique is another.

How to unlock the Season 14 farming routeAcross the Threshold is worth doing early because it explains where the season's endgame loop begins. It isn't just another story quest. It points you toward the Realmwalker and Deathtoll activities that feed keys, bosses, fragments, and Mythic attempts. If you're unsure where to go, follow the sequence in order rather than jumping straight between random map events.

Progress through the seasonal story until you move past Sins of the Ullo Sar and receive the Rupture-related objectives.
Find a Colossal Rupture in the Fields of Desecration, or join an eligible Surging Rupture event that leads to a Realmwalker.
Complete the ritual stages, then defeat the Realmwalker when it appears.
Enter the portal left behind by the boss and clear the Deathtoll Chamber instead of leaving for another marker.
Return to Dannica in Zarbinzet after the chamber ritual is complete to continue the seasonal questline.

That route is much clearer after Patch 3.1.1. High-Torment Deathtoll Chambers now guarantee at least one Superior Lair Key, while the Corrupted Reaper can provide more fragments at stronger Torment levels. It's a decent loop on paper. Still, players are reporting the same old feeling after long boss sessions: plenty of purple drops, very few that change a build. One sample of hundreds of chests found dozens of Mythics but no Iconic Mythics. That doesn't prove rates are broken, though it does show why players don't trust the chase.

The bigger issue is the one-crafted-Mythic limit. Once you make one good crafted item, later crafted drops can become awkward rather than exciting. Trophy conversions may count against that same limit, so a rare result can sit unused in your stash. Until that rule changes, treat crafting as a planned commitment, not a casual gamble. Players who want to buy D4 items should still check how each piece fits their build before replacing a proven Unique. Patch 3.1.1 repairs the road, but Mythic progression still needs more player control.
