QR Memorials began with a friendship, not a business plan. Duane and Dean met in high school in the 1990s, and over three decades their friendship carried them through shared ventures and, inevitably, more funerals than weddings. Time spent in cemeteries burying loved ones led them to a quiet realisation: headstones hold names and dates, but almost nothing of the actual life behind them — the stories, the personality, the moments that made someone who they were.
