Don't throw away an Ancestral Unique just because its power landed near the bottom of the range. If its regular affixes and Greater Affixes are strong, it may still be one of the best D4 items you'll find all season. The Horadric Cube's Unique Power Reroll recipe changes only the numerical value of that power. Everything else stays put. Each attempt uses the item itself, one Attuned Primordial Dust, and 100 Raw Primordial Dust. The new percentage may rise or fall, so expect to make several attempts when chasing the maximum.

Building an Attuned Dust Route

Attuned Primordial Dust is the awkward part of the recipe. Nightmare Dungeons are the place to focus, especially with Fearless Conviction selected in your War Plan. Elite and Champion kills build Conviction stacks, while taking hits from those enemies strips stacks away. Fast damage helps, but clean movement matters just as much. The chest appearing at the dungeon's end scales with the Conviction you've preserved and has a better chance of containing Attuned Dust. You'll soon notice that controlled pulls often pay better than charging into every crowded room.

Resource Amount per attempt Preferred activity
Attuned Primordial Dust 1 Nightmare Dungeons
Raw Primordial Dust 100 Kurast Undercity

Getting More From Each Dungeon

Fearless Conviction works better when it's paired with Gauntlet and Nemesis. Gauntlet brings back enemies slain under a shrine effect once that effect ends. Nemesis adds more Elites around shrines. That means extra targets, more Conviction orbs, and a stronger reward chest if you avoid unnecessary damage. Escalating Nightmare Dungeons offer another useful layer. Pick Material Reserve when it appears, then work toward Branching Pathways for additional Horadric portals and reward choices aimed at Primordial Dust.

Activate shrines before clearing nearby Elite packs.
Keep distance from Champions to protect Conviction stacks.
Choose material-focused portal rewards during escalation.

Stocking Up on Raw Dust

Raw Primordial Dust is required in bigger piles, though it's much easier to collect. Run the Kurast Undercity and place a Greater Tribute of Ingenuity at the Spirit Brazier before entering. Hit the required Attunement rank, but don't rush straight to the boss afterward. With Gutter Filth unlocked, activating beacons may call in Portal Pranksters. Kill them and the completion chest can deliver thousands of Raw Dust. Check remaining paths and beacons before leaving; a minute of extra searching can save an entire run later.

Making a Great Drop Worth Keeping

A low Unique Power percentage doesn't erase excellent Greater Affixes. Put the piece in storage, farm both Dust types, and reroll only when you've built enough materials for repeated tries. Players comparing D4 items cheap options should still judge the fixed affixes first, since the Cube gives the power value room to improve. Pair careful Conviction runs with Tribute-based Undercity clears, and the material flow becomes steady. It may take patience, but that disappointing roll can become the centerpiece of an endgame build.

Welcome to U4GM, where Diablo 4 progress feels less painful. Got an Ancestral Unique with a weak Unique Power? Keep it, farm Attuned Primordial Dust in Nightmare Dungeons, collect Raw Primordial Dust in Kurast Undercity, then reroll in the Horadric Cube.
